From May 20^th 2010 all residential properties for sale or rent will require an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). The EPC indicates the Energy Efficiency and CO² rating for a home on a scale of A-G (A being most efficient). The Certificate will be issued following a survey of your property, this will examine the heating system, lighting, wall/roof insulation, windows and a range of other key energy related points.

You can book your EPC online or over the phone. An Energy Assessor will contact you within 24 hours of your booking and the survey is usually completed and available electronically within 2-4 days.
